San Francisco is such a great city. Although coming from August in San Antonio to August in San Francisco was a huge temperature change, like 40 degrees! I went running from my hotel to Fisherman’s Warf and actually had to wear a long sleeve shirt over my shirt because it was so cool. We also went to the Seattle vs. Oakland game at McAffee stadium and I had to buy a sweater before we headed out to the game because it was that cold. People were wearing hoodies and had blankets. Well, suprisingly, the Athletics took on the Mariners 4-0. Sorry, Garrick!
When I visit cities like San Franciso, I always wonder when San Antonio will catch up. When will we have the French bakeries (real French bakeries) or the pub next door or the Farmer’s market down the street? Don’t get me wrong, San Antonio is a great city but when will our downtown catch up? With being the 8th largest city in the US, you’d think we’d already be there. Well, I won’t complain too much. My house that I own right now would have cost me 10 time more to live in the San Francisco Bay area. I am not overexaggerating. I know of one individual that purchased a 650sq ft condo in Oakland for $300,000! If you are from Texas, your mouth probably just dropped. So when I think of that number, I think well, hey I no Farmer’s Market, no French bakery but a 1500sq ft home AND a backyard, not much to complain about there.
