San Antonio’s 1st annual 48 hour Film Project
Travis Thomsen, co-worker of mine and who I have mentioned before in my blog, is a free lance film director. He will be part of the 1st annual 48 hour film project in San Antonio. The 48 hour film project is an international event that started back in 2001. The kick off is this Friday, August 10th and this is when Travis will find out what genre he will be doing (hoping for dark comedy). All weekend, Travis will be working diligently on this film and will need to have it done and ready to turn in by Sunday, August 12th. Talk about a hard core project! The films will be ready to be viewed by the public on Tuesday, August 14th at the Alamo Draft house. Check it out, it should be pretty cool!
There are a lot of really talented artists in San Antonio and it is really exciting to see events like this come here. A lot of people always say that have to drive to 1 hour up the road to Austin for underground music, art and film but I don’t think that is the case anymore. San Antonio has it’s own talent with a unique flavor and it’s just a matter of time that events and shows start popping up in San Antonio.
Travis was also quoted in the local SA Current, take a look. Good Luck Travis!
