Chalk It Up
Today was the 4th annual Chalk It Up festival, put on by Artpace, held on Houston street in downtown San Antonio. This was my first year attending and I really enjoyed it. Houston Street is closed off to allow various artists sketch and showcase their art. There are chosen professional artists to be part of this event and chalk up a mural. There are also high school teams that compete for the best mural and there is a kid zone where kids can take part in arts and crafts. We saw some really creative art. It was a beautiful day for the festival as well. We spent about an hour walking down the street to view the art. I recommend it to any art enthusiasts or families that want to take their children out for some fun.
